The European automotive industry continues to focus on smart electrification, and French manufacturer Renault has marked an important milestone by presenting an updated range for the zero-emission Renault 4 E-Tech electric model. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, the revised model comes with significant improvements in efficiency, technology and comfort, and the excellent news for the domestic market is that the entire range can already be officially ordered in Romania.
One of the most important transformations brought about by this update is aimed at optimizing road behavior and energy efficiency. All versions in the range now benefit from extended autonomy, achieved by refining aerodynamic details.
French engineers have reconfigured the lower body and introduced a new set of side mirrors, designed to significantly reduce aerodynamic drag. These subtle but essential changes allow the model to extract additional mileage from each charge, offering a maximum range that can reach up to 415 kilometers in the WLTP cycle for versions equipped with the 52 kWh battery.
In addition to efficiency, the interior of the new Renault 4 E-Tech electric has received a series of major revisions aimed at improving the digital experience and everyday comfort. Among the novelties is the introduction of the manual battery preconditioning function, a vital option for optimizing fast charging times in the cold season.
The center console has also been equipped with a ventilated Qi2 wireless charging surface, which prevents the phone from overheating during power supply. On top versions, the technology package is completed by a 360-degree high-definition video camera, which simplifies maneuvering in tight spaces. Another practical innovation is the intelligent operation of the electric tailgate: it opens automatically when the access card holder approaches the vehicle, eliminating the need for the classic movement of the foot under the bar.
The Renault 4 E-Tech family is expanding with a particularly refined appearance: the new Roland-Garros special edition. Available exclusively in the 52 kWh battery and 150 HP engine configuration, it offers a distinct visual identity and aesthetic elements inspired by the famous tennis competition, including the “Plein Sud” retractable fabric roof. Inside, specific details include a slag-colored wireless charging surface, personalized floor mats with the R4 logo and aluminum sills with dedicated inscriptions.
At the same time, the portfolio will be completed by the end of the year with a new basic version, oriented towards accessibility, which will offer a 110 HP engine and a range of up to 305 kilometers.
The updated range can be ordered in the dealer network in Romania, the price structure being adapted to different customer segments:
● Evolution (Urban Range, 120 HP, 40 kWh battery): Starts at 29,550 euros (including VAT).
● Evolution (Comfort Range, 150 HP, 52 kWh battery): Starts at 31,350 euros (including VAT).
● Techno (Comfort Range, 150 HP, 52 kWh battery): Starts at 33,450 euros (including VAT).
● Iconic (Comfort Range, 150 HP, 52 kWh battery): Starts at 35,500 euros (including VAT).
● Rolland-Garros (Comfort Range, 150 HP, fabric roof): Top of the range starts at 38,300 euros (including VAT).
