The range of the smallest electric SUV in the Czech manufacturer's portfolio is enriched with a version designed to emphasize the emotional and sporty side of zero-emission mobility. On the occasion of the Paris Motor Show, Skoda officially presented the new top-of-the-range Sportline equipment line for the electric Epiq model, bringing a distinctive exterior visual package, a refined cabin with sporty accents and state-of-the-art technologies offered as standard.
The new Sportline trim visually transforms the brand's most affordable electric SUV, giving it a much more aggressive and sophisticated presence on the road.
● Front: The model stands out with LED Matrix technology optical blocks that benefit from an exclusive light signature, complemented for the first time by an illuminated front grille (known as the Light Band).
● Black exterior accents: A number of body elements receive a glossy black finish, including the door mirror caps, the official model inscriptions, the bumpers and the longitudinal bars on the roof.
● Contrasting roof and dedicated wheels: The Epiq Sportline is the only version in the range to offer a contrasting black roof as standard. The dynamic appearance is completed by 19-inch black alloy wheels with an exclusive design, with customers also having the option of larger 20-inch wheels.
The on-board atmosphere takes on the sporty theme of the exterior, the main focus being the superior quality of the finishes and advanced ergonomics.
● Dedicated sports seats: The cabin welcomes occupants with electrically adjustable and heated sports seats, upholstered in soft Suedia material. This fine texture is also extended to the door panels, the center armrest and the dashboard trim.
● Sports steering wheel and functional features: The driver benefits from a heated sports steering wheel, equipped with paddles for adjusting the level of energy recovery during braking. The pedals have stainless steel surfaces, and the standard package is completed by ambient lighting, wireless phone charger and specifically decorated interior sills.
● Comfort and technology: The top line integrates extensive packages that include dual-zone automatic climate control, digital key system, reversing camera and tinted rear windows (Sunset).
The new Skoda Epiq Sportline is highlighted by two versions of power and battery capacity, adapted to both the urban environment and long journeys:
1. Epiq 40: Equipped with a 135 horsepower electric motor and 267 Nm of torque, powered by a 37 kWh battery. This variant offers a range of up to 310 kilometers, and a fast charging session from 10% to 80% takes 23 minutes.
2. Epiq 55: The performance version goes up to 211 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, ensuring a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.1 seconds. The 52 kWh battery guarantees an extended range of up to 440 kilometers, while the charging process from 10% to 80% is carried out in 24 minutes. The top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h for both variants.
Although the Czech manufacturer has not published the final official price lists for the new top-of-the-line trim at the time of the international debut, the European commercial launch will be quickly followed by the introduction of the model in the main regional markets.
● Launch in Romania: The new Skoda Epiq Sportline is expected to appear in showrooms in the national network next year, completing the brand's offer of affordable electric vehicles locally.
● Estimated prices: Given its positioning as the top of the range and the rich level of standard equipment (including LED Matrix headlights, 19-inch wheels and Swedish finishes), the estimated starting prices for the Romanian market are forecast to be in an indicative range between 26,000 and 31,000 euros (VAT included), depending on the chosen version (Epiq 40 or Epiq 55). The final purchase value can be advantageously reduced by accessing the national Rabla Plus program.
