The transition to electric mobility is receiving a new impetus on the Romanian automotive market. The new Renault Megane E-Tech Electric 2027 facelift can be officially ordered, bringing a significant package of aesthetic revisions, a simplified technical architecture and a new generation battery. The French model aims to reconfigure the standards in the electric compact segment.
Initially launched internationally in June, the facelift model arrives on the Romanian market in a phased launch phase. In the first phase, customers in Romania can order the vehicle in a single equipment variant, represented by the Techno level.
The starting price for the Techno version is set at 34,000 euros including VAT. The new commercial structure of the model has been redesigned to be more accessible and clearer, being globally composed of only two equipment levels (Techno and the sporty Esprit Alpine level), combined with a single powertrain.
Visually, the new Megane E-Tech Electric facelift proposes obvious changes compared to the initially launched version:
● Front: Completely redesigned, adopting a reinterpreted grille and a more aerodynamic profile.
● Rear lights: Now use three-dimensional elements without an external lens.
● Proportions: The overall height of the vehicle has increased by 20 mm, a technical change necessary to accommodate the new battery pack integrated into the floor.
Body customization includes a rich palette of exterior colors: Nacre White, Etoille Black, Schist Grey, Flamme Red and Nocturne Blue. For those who want a more dynamic look, the manufacturer also offers 9 special two-tone combinations.
On the mechanical side, the new Megane E-Tech Electric focuses on efficiency and predictable performance. The propulsion system consists of a 220 hp (160 kW) electric motor and an instant torque of 300 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The major change, however, lies under the floor:
● LFP (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) battery: It has a net capacity of 67 kWh.
● Extended autonomy: It promises a range of up to 500 kilometers according to the WLTP test cycle.
● Fast charging: In direct current (DC), the system supports powers of up to 165 kW, allowing charging from 15% to 80% in just 24 minutes.
● Dynamic performance: The model benefits from multilink rear suspension, a lowered center of gravity and One Pedal function for efficient urban driving.
Even in the basic Techno version, the list of equipment included from the factory is comprehensive:
● 19-inch alloy wheels.
● OpenR multimedia system with 12-inch dual screen and integrated Google ecosystem (Google Maps navigation, voice assistant and dedicated applications).
● Reversing camera and parking sensors.
● Multifunction steering wheel with heating function.
● Standard heat pump, essential for maintaining autonomy in the cold season.
For added comfort and technology, the list of optional features includes 20-inch wheels, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, heated front seats, an expanded package of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a 22 kW bidirectional AC charger with support for powering external devices (V2L).
