A new era for emergency interventions: Temerario Polizia. Automobili Lamborghini has officially presented the new Temerario Polizia model, created specifically for the Italian State Police. The handover ceremony took place at the brand's headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, in the presence of the Italian Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, and Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.
The vehicle will be managed by the Italian Traffic Police and will be assigned to missions with major social impact, with the main task being the emergency transport of organs for transplantation, plasma and essential medical materials in situations where every second is decisive.
The exterior of the new Temerario Polizia is customized in the traditional blue and white colors of the Italian police, complemented by the "Polizia" inscriptions on the doors, graphics in the shades of the national flag and a LED light bar mounted on the roof. Inside, the cabin retains the standard configuration, with leather upholstery in shades of black and brown, while receiving specific communications equipment and a special refrigerated compartment in the front trunk for securing medical containers.
Under the hood, the Temerario uses a plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, three electric motors and a 3.8 kWh battery. With a total output of 920 hp and 730 Nm of torque delivered via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 343 km/h.
The partnership between Lamborghini and the Italian State Police began in 2004, when the first generation Gallardo entered operational service. Over the more than two decades of collaboration, the fleet has included six distinctive Lamborghini models, including the Gallardo LP 560-4, various versions of the Huracán and the Urus Performante SUV introduced in 2023.
To date, this initiative has successfully completed over 200 rapid organ transport missions, directly contributing to saving many lives. In addition to their medical role, the police Lamborghini vehicles have participated in over 1,500 road safety education events, promoting safety on Italian highways.
For private customers in Romania interested in purchasing the Lamborghini Temerario production model, the car can be ordered through authorized dealers in the network or through importers specialized in the super-luxury segment.
