The 2026 edition of the Bucharest Auto & Accessories Show (SAB) has officially opened its doors at the Romexpo complex, marking a turning point in the domestic auto market. This year's event is defined by a massive presence of Asian manufacturers, whose models represent over 40% of the total vehicles exhibited in Pavilion B2.
The exhibition brings together leading car manufacturers, official importers, suppliers of components and accessories, as well as companies focused on modern urban mobility solutions. In addition to established brands from Europe and North America, visitors have the opportunity to discover both Asian cars already popular on Romanian roads — from brands such as BYD, MG or Chery (with the Tiggo series) — as well as new brands launched for the first time on the local market.
This year's edition was chosen by several Chinese manufacturers as a launching pad directly to the European market, with Romania being the first country in the region to host the new premium models and brands.
Among the major novelties presented on the exhibition platform are:
● Forthing (Dongfeng Group): The Chinese brand debuts with its own stand at SAB 2026. The proposed range covers a wide range of preferences, with starting prices from 33,000 euros for the basic versions, while the luxury range models are positioned between 48,000 and 55,000 euros.
● iCAR (Chery Group): Brought to the Romanian market by the importer Auto Italia, the iCAR brand is launched in its European premiere right at Romexpo. Positioned in the premium segment, the first model presented is an SUV with a starting price of 45,900 euros for the 2x4 drive version.
Although the public's attention is drawn to the large number of premieres from the East, Pavilion B2 hosts a diverse range of European, American and Japanese/South Korean car brands with a consolidated presence.
The full range of brands present at SAB 2026 includes:
● European and American brands: Alfa Romeo, BMW, Cadillac, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Ford (represented by the F-150 line), Jeep and Maserati.
● Asian brands of tradition and new entrants: Forthing, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, KGM (formerly SsangYong), Kia, Maxus, Mazda, MG, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.
The Bucharest Auto & Accessories Show 2026 takes place over six days, from October 6 to 11, in Pavilion B2 of the Romexpo complex. Visitors' access is based on a single ticket worth 80 lei, valid for the entire period of the event.
