The Rabla 2026 program is entering a straight line after a long period of uncertainty. The Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) officially announced that registrations begin on July 20, at 10:00, and will remain open until December 31, 23:59, or until the budget is exhausted.
This year's session comes with a consolidated budget of 300 million lei, exceeding the 2025 allocation. A significant novelty for the local auto market is the inclusion of cars produced in China in the list of eligible models, a move that will directly influence buyers' options in the coming months.
Despite the current opening, authorities are preparing protective measures for future editions. Environment Minister Diana Buzoianu said that the intention to impose clear criteria regarding the geographical origin of vehicles remains active. "We are not giving up on the objective of introducing clearer criteria regarding the origin of eligible vehicles, and we will hold technical discussions, including with representatives of the European Commission, in the immediate future to support these criteria for next year," Buzoianu said.
18,500 lei for purely electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
15,000 lei for plug-in hybrid vehicles or electric motorcycles.
12,000 lei for vehicles with hybrid propulsion system.
10,000 lei for thermally powered vehicles (excluding diesel), including LPG/CNG variants, or conventional motorcycles.
The registration process is carried out exclusively through the AFM online platform.
