We are not just talking about a simple addition to the configurator, but about an absolute premiere: it is the first electrified version in the history of the Sandero model and, at the same time, the most powerful engine ever offered in this range.
Under the hood of the crossover version is a complex and high-performance powertrain. The hybrid architecture consists of a 1.8-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors:
The internal combustion engine: develops 109 horsepower on its own.
The first electric motor: delivers 50 horsepower, actively assisting with propulsion.
Second electric motor: functions as a high-voltage starter/generator (HSG).
In total, the system generates a combined power of 155 horsepower and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. The resources are managed through an electrified automatic gearbox (clutchless), which has 4 gears for the thermal engine and 2 gears dedicated exclusively to the electric part.
The electric motors are powered by a compact battery with a capacity of 1.4 kWh. Thanks to intelligent energy management and always-on electric start, the Dacia Sandero Stepway Hybrid 155 promises unmatched efficiency in urban environments.
According to official figures, the new hybrid configuration allows the car to run fully electric for up to 80% of the time in city traffic. This translates into substantial fuel savings and drastically reduced CO2 emissions.
The new top-of-the-range engine is available exclusively for the higher versions of the model, Expression and Extreme, bringing a consistent technological package:
Expression equipment: customers receive a modern multimedia system with a 10-inch touchscreen, a reversing camera and a fully digital instrument cluster, optimized to display the energy flows of the hybrid system.
Extreme equipment (top): increases comfort and safety, adding automatic climate control, keyless entry and start system (Keyless Entry/Go), along with extensive driving assistance systems.
