Paris premiere and replacement of the GS level. The German manufacturer Opel expands and improves its offer for the compact Astra model by introducing a new equipment level called GSE Line. Presented for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, this visual package is intended to emphasize the dynamic character of the hatchback and the estate version, taking over some of the aesthetic elements of the GSE performance versions.
The GSE Line trim level is designed to replace the current GS line in the manufacturer's offer. This change in the range will occur commercially starting in spring 2027, bringing a breath of fresh air and an extra personality for customers who want a car with a more aggressive look.
The new GSE Line equipment clearly differentiates itself from the standard versions with several styling elements developed specifically for this model. At the front, the characteristic Opel Vizor grille is complemented by special inserts mounted in the lower area, painted in a dedicated shade that creates a strong visual contrast.
The front bumper also features a discreet GSE Line lettering. In profile, the car stands out with the new 17-inch alloy wheels offered as standard, which benefit from a revised aerodynamic design. For those who want an even more pronounced visual impact, the options list also includes 18-inch wheels.
The changes on the outside are also reflected in the interior, where the sporty ingredients are complemented by attention to detail. The interior of the new Opel Astra GSE Line stands out with contrasting yellow stitching on the seats, steering wheel, door panel inserts and center armrest. The pedals receive aluminum faces, and buyers can optionally choose sports seats with integrated headrests.
In terms of the propulsion range, the GSE Line equipment level is available with a wide range of electrified engines:
● Mild-Hybrid: Petrol versions aided by a 48V hybrid system for added efficiency.
● Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV): Plug-in-charge variants that combine the combustion engine with the electric motor.
● Astra Electric: 100% electric version with zero local emissions.
The new Opel Astra GSE Line will be officially launched in the network of authorized dealers in Romania in the spring of 2027.
Regarding prices on the local market, it is estimated that the GSE Line equipment will take over the pricing positioning of the current GS line, with a slight adjustment dictated by the additional standard equipment package:
● Opel Astra GSE Line Mild-Hybrid: Estimated price from approximately €28,500 – €30,000 (incl. VAT).
● Opel Astra GSE Line Plug-in Hybrid: Estimated price from approximately €38,000 (incl. VAT).
● Opel Astra Electric GSE Line: Estimated price from approximately €41,500 – €43,000 (incl. VAT).
