Fastest growth in BMW history. 50.000 iX3 Neue Klasse models have already rolled off the assembly line

Historic milestone in Debrecen: BMW has already produced 50,000 copies of the iX3 Neue Klasse

The BMW plant in Debrecen, Hungary, has marked a remarkable achievement in the automotive industry: the 50,000th unit of the new electric SUV iX3 has rolled off the assembly line. This achievement comes just 9 months after the production start of the first model in the revolutionary Neue Klasse family.

Record production rate and industrial performance

Reaching this volume in such a short time represents the fastest ramp-up ever recorded by a new plant within the BMW Group.

The commercial success beyond expectations has led the Bavarian manufacturer to accelerate plans to expand manufacturing capacity:

    ● Second shift introduced in February: Production increased rapidly with the introduction of the second work shift         at the Hungarian factory.
    ● Jubilee milestone: The 50.000th unit was personalized in a spectacular shade, Fire red.
    ● Logistical efficiency: The geographical proximity of the Debrecen factory to Central and Eastern European markets     ensures an optimal distribution network and short delivery times.

"Never in our history have we built so many vehicles in such a short time at a completely new factory," BMW Group representatives said.

The great electric offensive: 40 new models by 2027

The BMW iX3 is the pioneer of a new era for the German brand. With this milestone in Debrecen, the BMW Group has reaffirmed its ambitious plans for the future:

    ● 40 new or updated models: By the end of 2027, the Bavarians will launch no less than 40 vehicles on the global     market.
    ● Common DNA: All these future models will integrate state-of-the-art battery technologies, advanced software     architecture and the new minimalist design language pioneered by the Neue Klasse family.

Prices and versions available on the Romanian market

On the Romanian market, the new BMW iX3 has sparked considerable interest among buyers of electric vehicles in the premium segment, positioning itself as a direct technological alternative to competing mid-size models:

BMW iX3 50 xDrive (All-wheel drive version):

    ● Starting price: from €65,461 (VAT included).
    ● Performance: Equipped with two electric motors that develop a total power of 469 HP, accelerating from 0 to 100     km/h in just 4.9 seconds. The official WLTP autonomy reaches up to 805 km, thanks to the new 800V electrical     architecture.

BMW iX3 40 (Rear-wheel drive version):

    ● Starting price: approximately €59,900 (VAT included).
    ● Performance: Entry-level version equipped with a single motor on the rear axle, designed to offer maximum energy     efficiency at a more affordable price point.

The high demand in Romania is supported by the extended autonomy, high charging speed at high-power stations and advantageous delivery terms resulting from the geographical proximity of the factory in Hungary.
