Today, March 10, 2026, the Romanian automotive industry marks a historic moment. The Renault Group officially presented the futuREady strategic plan, and the undisputed star of the event is the Dacia Striker. The new model is not just another crossover in the range, but officially becomes the longest car ever produced under the Romanian brand, surpassing even the recently launched Bigster.
If until now Dacia relied on pragmatic lines, Striker breaks the mold. It is the boldest design project to come out of the brand's studios:
The big surprise comes from the preliminary technical data sheet. With a length of 4.62 meters, the Striker is 5 centimeters longer than the Dacia Bigster (4.57 m). This size places it directly in battle with established models in the compact segment, such as the Škoda Octavia or the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports, offering a cargo volume and interior space that promise to become references in the class.
True to its strategy of offering sustainable and affordable mobility solutions, Dacia equips Striker with:
Despite its generous dimensions and cutting-edge technology, Dacia remains the champion of fair prices. The starting price will be under 25,000 euros, an offer that will be hard to match in the C segment in 2026.
"Striker is the ideal travel partner, a model that exudes energy and robustness," said the group's representatives during the presentation.
The new model will be produced at the Bursa plant in Turkey, part of a massive €400 million investment by Groupe Renault in the region. Full technical details, equipment list and prices for Romania will be made public in June.
