Whoever said symmetry is the secret to absolute beauty probably hasn’t seen the latest creations from Bentley’s Mulliner customisation division. For the first time in the British marque’s history, the new 2027 Bentley Continental GT Supersports receives an exclusive series of exterior finishes with a gradient effect (paint fade) that flows spectacularly not from top to bottom, but from one side of the body to the other. Officially called the “Design Theme by Mulliner”, this radical aesthetic concept redefines exclusivity and puts the driver, literally and figuratively, at the centre of attention.
Traditionally, ultra-luxury car design relies on perfectly mirrored lines. But Mulliner breaks the mold: the driver's side is dressed in a vibrant, accent color that subtly and continuously merges as it crosses the body, transforming into a much darker shade on the passenger side.
To further accentuate the asymmetrical dynamism, a single, eccentrically positioned highlight stripe runs from head to tail of the car, perfectly aligned with the passenger seat.
"This theme, regardless of the steering wheel position (left or right), always visually gravitates around the driver," explain Bentley designers.
The exterior visual impact is complemented by subtle yet aggressive details: the number eight painted directly on the front grille and accent lines (pinstripes) applied to the carbon fiber diffuser, spoilers and sills.
Mulliner has carefully curated three special color themes for this limited model, each extending from the exterior directly into the cabin:
| Theme | Starting Colour (Driver's Side) | Finishing Colour (Passenger's Side) | Core Interior Colours |
| Dragon | Dragon Red | Black Crystal | Hotspur & Beluga |
| Electric | Electric Blue | Dark Sapphire | Klein Blue & Imperial Blue |
| Brodgar | Pale Brodgar | Brodgar | Camel & Beluga |
The spirit of motor racing is felt as soon as you open the door. The new Supersports ditches the rear seat for good, becoming a strictly two-seater model, specifically configured to maximise the connection between man and machine.
Following the asymmetric philosophy of the exterior, the cabin adopts a two-tone design: the lighter, more intense shade surrounds the driver, while the darker tone is reserved for the passenger. The details make the difference: the fine leather (Full Leather Specification) features a unique Supersports perforation pattern, and the gear lever borrows the colour of the driver's seat, all completed by contrasting stitching on the dashboard and headrests.
This new option complements the design packages that the Supersports originally launched with (Level One and Level Two). Those early versions offered three-tone interiors, perforated Dinamica (Alcantara) inserts, 22-inch diamond-cut wheels and the five famous nature-inspired specifications: Skies, Meteorite, Daybreak, Snowstorm and Nightfall.
With the new asymmetrical gradient, Mulliner once again demonstrates why it is at the top of the personalisation hierarchy. And for customers who feel that the three standard themes are not personal enough, Bentley leaves the door open: enthusiasts can work directly with the brand’s dealers to create their own custom gradient, transforming each 2027 Continental GT Supersports into a unique piece of modern art on wheels.
